Below you will find information to help guide you through the class.
 
Required Materials for Skills Class:
Folder and Pencil
 
Classroom Expectations - Students will:

• Be to class on time and prepared. (Three unexcused tardies to class will result in a lunch detention.)
• Not have gum, candy, food or beverages in the classroom or auditorium.
• Not wear hats in the classroom or auditorium. 
• Will not have other distracting materials out in class such as fidget spinners, slime, etc.
• Will not touch materials that are not theirs. This includes piano, instruments, smart board, teacher’s or other students’ materials.
• Follow directions, remain on task, and make a positive contribution to the class.

 
Ways students can make positive contributions to the class and be successful:

• Participate and put forth full effort with a positive attitude into all activities.  
• Be respectful and kind to classmates and adults.
• Follow directions and be on task.
• Treat others the way they would want to be treated.

 
 
Grading:  
Students will be assessed on their daily work habits, vocal technique and production,  in class singing assessments, music literacy and music skills assessments.
